Cat DNA database helps convict killer
Reported on our local news a couple of days ago:
Cat hairs were found on a curtain used to wrap a body found on a beach (in Brighton, I think). Comparing the DNA with that of enough other cats showed that there was an extremely high likelihood that they came from the cat owned by the suspect.
This was enough to convict him.
