  She was brilliant with both songs. She is the best singer on the show. If that's partly because the competition is patchy or poor, fair enough but she is the best and tonight she showed it.

  I just adore Rebecca. She is the standout singer in this competition for me and I thought she totally nailed both her songs tonight.

  I'm sorry, she has an incredible voice, but she just cannot put on a performance. Even in her first song tonight, apart from walking down that little runway bit, she didn't move!
  
  Could you actually imagine how boring it would be to sit through 90 minutes of her in concert not moving???? To listen to whilst washing up, great, but to watch perform - could lead to her audience turning to lemmings and carrying out mass suicide....

  She pulled it out the bag tonight. Outstanding performances.
  
  I've always been somewhat of a fan, but usually about 3/4 of the way through a ballad I just want her to shut up and stop whining, but the past couple of weeks she seems more in control and tonight was the first time she managed to not ruin the end of a song for me.
  
  Not crazy about the way she sang Ahhh-mayyy-zing Gray-ce and the first few lines of the song in so many syllables, but plenty of people sing it like that so can't blame her for it, and bar the first 20 seconds I loved the performance.
  
  Matt second tonight for me as well, another who tends to borderline irritate me didn't tonight.

  No a great show for a quarter final, it has to be said. Cher and Mary were dire and Matt and 1D both entirely forgettable.
  
  But she was the only one with any class. Amazing Grace with a bit more work and three voices for Xmas #1.
