If that was the case, then the cleavage would always be pretty narrow - like the crack. Most women - sans bra - are either a bit small with a pointy one to each side or the bigger ones tend to shift sidways and downwards.
I can remember my first girlfriend going about this - but then she had a very nice pair, although when I saw her again about 6 years later, they were just a pair of beagle's ears.
