The BBC is really trying the patience of most of its viewers. Hopefully This Week will be Mandela-free.

..Great, more Mandela worship, I went 5 minutes without it on TV and started getting worried.

    Also "Tokyo Sexwale"

...Is that a real name or a hentai porno flick?

No view on the panel at all who might be more critical of him?

Hopefully there will be SOME sort of disagreement over Mandela`s legacy, much more interesting than a boring love-in.

I for one won't be watching QT tonight. It's a complete over-reation by the BBC in my books. I can do without it.

God knows what it will be like when the Queen dies!

A whole year or more of archived Newsreels.

The BBC seems to have some kind of manic OCD in its production department.

Pity they don't spend a bit more time reporting on what's going on in Britain.

I wonder how much the QT budget will be stretched in financing the extra expenses imposed by hosting an 'international' edition.

No criticism of Mandella or the ANC will be allowed. It'll just be one big Mandela love fest.

John Humphrys (Radio 4 Today programme) has been out there all week.

120 BBC staff went. ITV sent 5.

So my questions are: does the BBC know that the British public aren't as obsessed with Mandela as they are or do they genuinely believe that we are?

It would be good if that was reflected in tonight's QT ratings but I doubt if it will be.

Or the military. Or any combination of the two.

Maybe they are just rehearsing for when the REAL leader of Africa passes away? A truly great democratic icon, a man of immense personal charm and integrity. Getting emotional now just thinking about his demise....

I'll be giving this novelty episode a miss...have no interest in it whatsoever and I doubt many others do either.

    The BBC are ridiculous.
