From the Aldi weekly specials leaflet I picked up today.
Available from next Thursday 22nd - while stocks last:
Obviously NOT a "Freesat"receiver BUT is a free satellite set of kit for use 'in home gardens, in caravans, on boats':
"However remote your holiday location, you can tune into hundreds of TV channels, including your favourites from home. Digital free to air satellite receiver...
- dish (with heavy frame to support it on)
- Tevion satellite receiver, 14 day EPG with r/control
- single LNB (from appearance)
- 'paper satellite locator'
- 'satellite bleeper'
- spool of coax/F-plugs/SCART
- car cigarette lighter power cable
- some sundry other bits/pieces
Leaflet is very slim on details BUT will be on the www.Aldi.co.uk website sometime tomorrow Fri 16th - look under the SPECIALS heading - once this week's Thursday 15th's specials get replaced by Specials for Thursday 22nd.
Unusually the leaflet doesnt have their usual 3yr warranty & helpline logos on the Satellite System (unlike other items on the 2 page spread) - so look for them on the online info.

Looked at the comag site (in English) and the picture of the dish/stand and remote in their "Compete Systems - Mini Satellite System" looks identical to the photos in the Aldi leaflet, although the receiver front doesn't match - it's got a smallish rectangular central display with 2+1 buttons to its right, ie not like the SL25 with its black striped front.
More info from the Aldi leaflet in case that helps anyone ID the receiver:
- up to 4500 programmes
- last programme memory
- automatic scanning
- 10 pre-programmed channels
- 800 page text
- multi-language screen menu
- 8 x multi function timer
- child lock
It has been the SL65 for the past two or three years, either with the original Comag name or badged as Silvercrest. Certainly from Lidl, anyway. Not noticed Aldi doing them in the UK until just now!
I have one in my stack. It was only £25 and, as you say, is a truly excellent bit of kit (Apart from occasionally throwing a wobbler when driving my Motorised 110cm Dish!).
That said, Aldi are supplying a "Tevion" Receiver with this particular offer. I'm not familiar with that one.
Thankyou, kind Sir.
RTL2/ Super RTL being an obvious example.
Why everyone can't do it I do not know (Rhetorical Question )

Includes the same picture as was in the store leaflet. Still no mention of a 3yr warranty/helpline (contrast the Car Roof Box offered that has icons for both).
For those unaware of Aldi it's a 2nd tier supermarket, small/restricted size/range but very keen prices and the 'Specials' are put out on display on the day and when they've gone they've gone. (Though some stores might put them out the evening before, particularly on Saturday night for Sunday's specials.)
They have a 30-day returns policy: "Everything’s covered by our 30 Day Refund Policy
Sometimes you can buy something and when you get it home, it’s ‘just not quite right’.
We understand this. So we’re happy to refund or replace any item you buy from us. As long as you
return the item within 30 days of purchase – with a receipt, in original and undamaged
packaging, complete with any accessories such as headphones or remote controls – the Aldi 30 Day
Refund Policy is available to every customer."
So potentially could grab one next Thursday - wait for some of the cogniscenti here to validate if/how it works with Freesat signals (obviously only in SD!) - then either join in, or else return it for a full refund in time.
Thanks for that - although the pictured Receiver is a Tevion, the Remote Telecommander appears to be identical to the one I use with my Silvercrest SL65.
Some common roots, there!
As I mentioned in my original listing, if you look at their picture (lot clearer in the leaflet admittedly), there is a "car cigarette lighter power cable" ie with the 100% giveaway end in that picture (it's the one back right of the spool of coax) which IMPLIES that it is 12V DC compatible, but as you remark their listing is short on detail.

Yeh but you get a 3 year warranty with Aldi stuff.
You OFTEN or USUALLY get a 3 year warranty on Aldi electronics kit but as I highlighted for SOME reason any reference to such a warranty and helpline are MISSING from both the leaflet and the online details for this offering.
HOPEFULLY you'll get a 3 year warranty but looks like you'll have to check the actual box next week to find out - if that's important to you.
I purchased one today. Helpline numbers and web support address are plastered all over the box and manual.
The warranty is 36 months (printed on the back of the manual and stickers saying so on the unit itself).
Hope this helps.
I've been an ALDI/LIDL fan for years and have shopped in their stores in France, Belgium and Germany. The special offers are throughout Europe at the same time and it is interesting to compare what is sold in different countries usually at the same price. Google ALDI or LIDL followed by .fr/.be/.de and see the offers.
Im assuming no, but thought id ask.
Providing you can "see" the satellite through a window which has normal glass, you will be able to receive a signal. There are other options for example http://www.digicams-uk.com/category20_1.htm .
