There is no implication there. The baby is taken away and turned into a zombie. Now I know what you are going to say, technically white walkers grow old. The rationale of an insane Game of Thrones fan.

Any sane person knows exactly what HBO are trying to get away with here, the killing of a baby on tv. They will push the limits until someone has the guts to say, 'enough is enough'.

And why is "implied" ok in your view? Hearing a child gargling on their own blood as they die isn't what I would call a television programme for sane people.

The levels people will go to to defend this show is crazy. If there is any link between it and actual real life tragedies, it should be gone.

Why exactly would they be trying to 'get away with it'?? If they wanted to show it, they'd show it. Killing babies on a FICTIONAL programme isn't illegal.

OP, either grow up and stop this idiocy or seek help. Game of Thrones is a TV show. That's all.
It is fiction. That means it is not real

    OP please get some help.

You are either a tedious WUM or becoming very ill indeed. If you are so obsessed with hatred for a fictional fantasy show I find that truly disturbing.

But not as disturbing as a thread using a young child's death to fuel your hatred. :(

From what I have heard (still not started my three series boxset and trying to avoid spoilers at all costs) watching the show may be an excellent antidote to sexual frustration judging by some of the actresses in it. ;-) :D

This thread should be deleted. Using a baby's death to attention-**** is low.

It was obvious from the off that GOT was conceived as semi-pornographic (in terms of both sex and violence) titillation, which IMO is nothing less than pernicious. But I have to say, this thread fits that latter adjective too >:(

Obvious from the off? It's not pornography, if it was considered pornography under UK law, there's no way it would have an 18 or 15 certificate...

Oh, you missed the SEMI-. Perhaps there's some technical error your end that accounts for that. Well anyway, just for clarity then, I'll happily substitute 'semi' for 'quasi', and the fact will if anything more cogently remain. :)

Dmuk DOES watch it. That's the confusing thing.

I've watched GoT. dmuk is making it sound so much more depraved than it really is. Yes there is sex, tits etc but it's soft-core at worst and certainly no worse than Rome, Spartacus and other shows that apparently don't warrant this kind of attention. Yes, rape has happened in it, but it is not portrayed as a good or positive thing. It's pretty violent, but no more violent than movies that are shown at the same time.

And people will try and convince me that this show, which often has children and babies being killed in it (something most tv/movie productions avoid if necessary, for obvious reasons), is not having a damaging, negative effect on society.

I mean how could it? It's only a show that trivialises rape, glamourises stabbings, promotes misogyny, and bundles it all up in a nice youth-friendly porno, dragon zombie $100 million package.

How could this highly promoted show possibly be having a negative effect on society?
In a rather horrifying way, I reckon you're glad that baby died so you could further your mental crusade against a fictional TV show.

That's nothing for the OP. He regularly hijacks threads about all sorts of terrible crimes to do just that.

I'm sure he posted on the James Foley beheading thread that children should be made to watch the video as some kind of way of making them see that the world isn't like Game of Thrones.

He's hijacked plenty of threads about various sex crimes as well for the same reasons.

And yet he remains unbanned and allowed to post the same turgid nonsense time and time again.

The levels you will go to criticise this show is even more crazy.

On Lord of The Rings (books and film) they mentioned women and children being killed after people were given orders from Saruman. So there's the implied murder of children in Lord of The Rings. Why aren't you angry at that?

Mainly in the first 6-or-so seasons of South Park Kenny was always dying. He's a child. You even see it happening, and sometimes, in brutal ways. Why aren't you angry at that?

This is worrying and unreal. You are using the completely unrelated tragic death of a child to feed an irrational obsession with a fantasy TV programme. Can you see that? If not, will you please seek professional help.

The OP got me into Game of Thrones with their many many posts. Thanks for that, excellent promotional work for a great show. Love a Mary Whitehouse parody.

Me too, I bought the box set and my whole family have got into it.
    Its great entertainment, thanks OP.

He'd probably blow a fuse if he saw the Saw movies, or the Hostel ones.

To be fair, Hostel 3 easily deserves condemnation. It is absolute pants.

Hostel 2 was bad enough. Are you telling me it gets worse?
