Emily Lloyd expecting a baby

The last time I came across Emily was a truly nasty article in the DM, where they faux-sympathised with her mental health problems while pointing and laughing at her 'worryingly haggard appearance and sad outfit', in only the way that the DM can.

I've always really liked her, and have felt for her over the years, and It's lovely to see her looking so well and (hopefully) happy.

    I saw that and did think how lovely it was for her after the loss of her father.

    I'm really overjoyed for Emily, I really am!

    Wish You Were Here is still one of my all time fave films, I remember it being in the cinema and me and my mate went to see it every week and I think it ran for about six or seven weeks and her 'up yer bum' catchphrase always amused me and still does to this day, but it nearly destroyed her.

    Emily has been through so many tough times so it's great that she's finally found happiness!

    I hope she does call her baby Dave, or Lynda, but I think she said Lily or James in the article.

    She's a very similar age to me and I remember, as a teenager, being envious of how pretty and confident she seemed in WYWH. Then, when it all hit the fan I felt so sad for her. She's had such a rotten time, I'm made up for her. I hope she stays well and thoroughly enjoys being a mum.

    I wish her all the best too. I see her from time to time walking her dog as her Dad lived locally.

    Lots of luck to her. Just shows there is always hope despite life's problems.

    Don't think she'll be calling the little one 'Dave' as it says she's having a girl!!

    Reminds me of my favourite quote from WYWH regarding the paternity of her character's unborn baby.
