Most of the stuff 'with Lennon' was actually mostly solo written by either Lennon or Macca after the first couple of albums but with shared writing credits -it's pretty easy to tell who wrote what. I agree tho' mull... Is dull.:D

I don`t like it much other. It`s a pity it`s one of his best known songs. But it`s incredibly lazy to judge him on it.
Good episode tonight. The Babys Isn't It Time, never heard this before, but surely it deserved to chart. What a fantastic song, maybe 35 years later we can get it into the charts? Already I can see an improvement compared to 77, some good punkish bands. Also Terry Wogan in his heyday and
Althia and Donna, such a good mixture tonight. Bring on the rest of 1978!

Has Macca ever penned a half decent song outside the stuff he did with Lennon?
Indeed he has - most of his early 70s stuff was great, then in 1975 and 76 the sublime "Listen to What the Man Said" and "Silly Love Songs". But it all went tits up from 77 onwards (with a couple of exceptions - "Pipes of Peace" and "Frog's Chorus" (:D) are great!)

And A Wonderful Christmas Time of course! Played to death every year and probably one of the best xmas songs ever made! Does anyone else remember a song he brought out in 1990 called My Brave Face? Always used to like this one too. And the album he brought out a few years ago, Electric Arguments, was fantastic.
Next week no DLT ,so we are skipping a week and moving to the next show with kid Jensen http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01q6xrs (and of course we are skipping a week due to there being a strike too)

"We All Stand Together."
Well, I liked it when I was a little boy. For me, it's every bit as good as anything he did in the Beatles. And Ringo Starr will always be "The Man Who Did Thomas The Tank Engine."

Dont think it was a hit. Obviously weren't the same ones that sung on the song. Their voices didnt match what they were singing.
