Perhaps its my TV but having just watched the Eleventh Hour again I noticed that little Amelia Pond has Blue eyes and grown up Amy Pond has Brownish eyes.

As far as I know eyes don't change colour.

So is Amy Pond a grown up ameila or somethig else?

Surprisingly eye colour change is a natural occurrence.

In relation to the show, I don't think the eyes are important.

I have wondered if the name change is important/significant in any way.

Youngster is called Amelia and grown up is called Amy. Has that change been explained?

Same as kids called James calling themselves Jamie, David calling themselves Dave etc. It happens a lot.

This was discussed at length at the beginning of the series.
    Conclusions were
    - yes, kids eyes do change colour as they get older
    - no, it really doesn't matter.

Oh - and I was called James as a child, but am now always call myself Jim.
    :)

When choosing an actor to play someone else, only younger, there's a likelihood that the actors will have something different.

Eyes have been featured heavily in this series, especially Amy's eyes. For example, in the episode about the Weeping Angels where she has to keep her eyes closed and in The Eleventh Hour where the creature sometimes known as Prizoner Zero is 'in the corner of her eye'. Not to mention the Atraxi being a giant eyeball and the new Daleks having very realistic eyes on the end of their stalks.

the Eyes are nothing. Also, I was slightly blonde until I was 3*.

*And there is a blonde girl in my form, who said that her hair wasn't blonde enough... so she died it brown.

    Yes was explained in TEH,

Doctor asked gown up Amy why is it not Amelia anymore and she replied "its sounds too fairytale" as that what the doctor said when he first met young Amy.

Rose had 3 different eye colours in Father's day but yet she was still Rose. Just like I'm pretty sure Amy will be Amy.
