    Iznogoud
    Sharky & George
    M.A.S.K.
    The Raccoons
    The Centurions

Between TCC and old school Cartoon Network the late 80's/early 90's were amazing for cartoons

'The get along gang' - from the mid 80's - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myNe1GJDxZM.

Nobody I know in life has ever heard of it, nor remembers it - according to my mother it was my favourite show when I was 3 years old though.

I remember the theme song! Don't remember anything else about it, obviously made a big impression on me :D

And well done to whoever mentioned The Perishers! I'd forgotten about that one! I remember it now, especially Leonard Rossiter doing the voice of the Sheepdog :)

Edit: Thanks for reminding me about The Perishers, Fizzbin :)

In the mid 80s my nan had on video two 70s cartoon movies, 'The Smurfs and the magic flute' which I was obsessed with and 'The fabulous adventures of Baron Munchausen' which was a German cartoon dubbed into English. These two are quite obscure these days I think.:)

The Childrens Channel (TCC) on sky/cable I believe - pretty sure it was on one of the terrestrial channels too. Aired through out the second half of the 80's.

Remember having comics, books, and annuals too - was clearly a major fanboy :D

    Mr Rossi!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw26fLW_gg4

Also around the same era was an animation which I've been trying to track down for years. I think it could've possibly been from mainland Europe, and the main character was a little penguin who, from what I recall, only ever spoke the word "yo-yo". It had quite an eerie feel to it...if anybody knows, put me out of my misery!

Mr Rossi is a blast from the past, mrcoffee! This is another one I watched as a kid that I'd totally forgotten about. Groovy song and visuals :D Looks so dated now but I'd still rather watch this than anything made today!

Hardly forgotten, it's a cast iron classic for kids of the 80s.

Has Will Quack Quack been mentioned yet? (I can't be naffed to go through the entire thread). Another TVam show (I think)

Mr Rossi looks very 60s eurotrash, haha:D He's very much of that time, the animation is reminiscent of those Inspector Clouseu cartoons from The Pink Panther Show.

Yes the graphics look very much like The Pink Panther Show now you mention it. The Rossi theme tune is very catchy! I like the scat singing in the middle :D:D Do you remember it then? If you're mid 30s you were around when it was shown in the 80s, I'm 39 and I saw it at the time :)

I recognize the character, but don't think I ever saw the cartoons.

I remember this well. Early/mid seventies?

In some ways it was like an earlier version of The Simpsons.

    Thanks for that link.;-)

I haven't seen that in almost 40 years & it certainly brought back some memories.
