    Journey - Don't Stop Believin'

27 years on and it's reached a new peak of No52 this week and due to it being used in X Factor last weekend means it could make next Sunday's Top 40.

Is that song really 27 years old? We were going to use it for our school graduation song in 2008 and I never knew it was that old.

Well generally, not making the top 40 is prequisite for a great song.

Given that it's such a 'standard' now; so renown all over our media, a karaoke-night must, and in its remix form a permanent fixture in less classier nightspots; it's hard to believe Dolly Parton's 'Nine To Five' stalled outside the UK top 40.

Journey have now made the Top 40 as they climbed to No19 this week. Perhaps Dolly Parton or Bryan Adams might make the top 40 sometime in the future aswell.

This has to be one of the biggest bubblers of all time. Since 1982 it has spent a total of 35 weeks in the charts - about the same amount of time as Thriller (single) and most of this has been over the past 2 years.

Anyway - one of my favourites is a song from 1978 called Isn't It Time by The Babys. Only made no 45 but would love to see it do a Don't Stop Believing.

Squeeze - Tempted with vocal by Paul Carrack only got to Number42 in 1980

No More I Love You's - The Lover Speaks got to around Number 70 in 1985, Annie Lennox had a hit with it in 1992
