It sounds quite interesting - a bit Tomorrow's World-sy (for people with long memories:) )

Will definitely give is a look.

I like those indoor garden things. Might get one of those if they are available and aren't priced so high that it would be cheaper to take a flight to Spain and pick the tomatoes myself.

The fingerprint door access thing is cool too. Hate keys.

1 in 3 men still living at home up to 35. My parents did the sensible thing and split up and moved to smaller homes!

Love it, the dad unplugs everything, now one of the sons may not make it to work. Made me chuckle for some reason.

Yes me too, I think the real life elements differentiate it from other gadget programmes, such as the mum being horrified by the sterility and the power down dad.

I wasn't paying enough attention - did anyone catch the name of the head band gizmo that recorded sleep patterns and worked out the best time to wake you up?

Same here. I want one that drives itself too. In fact I'd really love one that takes me to where I want to go and then goes off somewhere and comes back when I call for it.

I believe you should be able to get all of the details from the Channel 4 website.

Thanks - I did have a quick look on the website before posting, but the link to the most likely supplier was broken, so I wondered if anyone had caught the name.

No, fairly ordinary looking to be honest.

    This family is very multi-ethnic.

Now THAT's how to do a gadget show.

Get lots of different sorts of people - ages, gender, outlook
Get stuff they'll actually use, not just toys/leisure items
    No explosions
Useful information about why you'd use them (benefits, not features), even some prices.
Get the users to talk about the drawbacks, not just how awwwwesome they are.
Almost the whole show was about the users - not the presenters. Just as it should be.

I've just watched my recording. It's called a Zeo Sleep Coach. You can buy it on Amazon for £139.

While I can see the worth in relating the gadgets to the way real world people would use them my problem with this programme is I cannot relate at all to any member of this particular family. I'm out.

    Mixed reviews for it.

As a sufferer of RLS I haven't had a good night's sleep for years. Not sure how this device could help someone like me except pointing out the obvious.

Anyone else worried that bosses will abuse that robot thing to monitor staff all the bloody time, rather than use it just for meetings?
