hello, thinking of going back to sky+ from virgin media.

Someone said that I have to have a bt telephone line, do I have to get this via bt or is there other providers
Seems like bt line rental is £10.27 per month

Just seeing if this is the only option...

thanks

Sky also works just fine with a Vigin Media phone line, so if you prefer to keep getting your phone and broadband from VM that is an option.

if you only want one box (ie not multiroom) then i believe you can pay a higher setup fee and not need the phone line

All the above statements are correct, but if you want to move your phoneline rental and broadband over to sky, then ask them to provide you with the phoneline, which will be fitted free by BT Openreach. (Sky will pick up the bill upto £125 for phoneline install).

As for going without a phoneline, you will need to pay an extra £25 on top of the installation fee.
