Humax is to add iPlayer support to its Freeview HD range in time for the World Cup in June.
It's also set to release a 1TB version of its upcoming Freeview HD PVR.
iPlayer streaming will appear on the forthcoming Humax HDR-FOX T2 twin tuner PVR,with Sky Player support following later in the year.
BBC iPlayer and Sky Player and will be added to Humax's HD-FOX T2 zapper as part of a forthcoming update, which will introduce single-tuner PVR recording and improved multimedia playback.
On display at the Anga Cable trade show in Cologne, the 500GB version of the twin tuner HDR-FOXT2 PVR is set to cost between £299 and £349. A limited run of 1TB models will also be available in selected retailers, with pricing to be confirmed.
Humax also said that a successor to its HDR Freesat recorder may not appear this year as now it plans to alter the specification from that previously announced.
Looks very interesting indeed especially the 1 TB model.
The Panasonic Freeview HD PVR is already looking both outdated and ridiculously over priced. £500 for a 250 GB hard drive ? Who are they (Panasonic) trying to kid.
Does anyone know what the front design of the Humax Freeview HDR will look like?
I'm looking for a secondary HD recorder, and find the existing Humax Foxsat HDR very useful displaying channel/programme info, especially if listening to digital radio via amp....
Could be a deal breaker for me when released, as the HD-FOX T2 seems to have an awful On-Digital style basic LED display (weblink below) & hopefully this won't be emulated when the recorder comes out....?

I'd hold off a wee while longer if I were you.

Hello Nick,
Hopefully before Christmas,

Here is a video demonstration of the exiting Freeview+ HD PVR http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1597905/pace-announces-freeview-hd-pvr
There is more about the Pace/Philips HDT8520 in this thread http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=1252838
Mailed back saying that this was a disappointment and asking what the delay was.
Hello Nick,
Sorry have no more information on release dates,
We anticipated it would be out before world cup,
But seems to be delayed,
Regards Colin,
Looks like a good box. Let's hope it's more reliable and less crash prone than some of the older Philips boxes.

Interesting. Think I'll wait for that. Looks like I'll not have an HD PVR in time for the World cup then. Grump.
The Humax Freeview+ HD PVR looks very interesting.
My dad uses in his bedroom the SD Humax 9300T which has a 320GB hard disc drive and I really like it.
I am now going to wit as the region that I live in Anglia does not have our DSO until next year 2011 which is when we will get HD on Freeview.
I might buy a Freeview+ HD PVR before our DSO but I would like to first see some reviews before I buy one.
