I really hate reading this forum sometimes. Its so full of anger. I'm sure that the producers of the very successful Dr Who know what they are doing, seeing as how it is one of the most popular shows on TV.
I also can't believe that the original poster had to apologise in case the news had already been posted, though I understand why he did.

Why not wait guys and gals, until it ACTUALLY AIRS before hating it?.
I can hope that its a good one, despite him being in it. I have no desire to watch anything that he is in, if he is in a tv show, I won't watch it. That's why it's annoying that he's in Dr Who, because I know I'll watch the talentless waste of space.

The feeling of foreboding that we are to be subjected to another dire Peter-Kaye-meets-The-Blue-Peter-Competition-Winner episode is almost too much for some to bear ...

Then switch off and don't watch it
This is not a new thing for the beeb - putting comedy types in Dr Who, so lets play a game of name a comedian who has appeard in Dr Who.
I will start this off with Alexi Sayle - Revalation of the Daleks
"No you won't. I've been inside your head, remember?"
Ooh! I wonder who's saying that & who to?
(A line that Corden read out from the script on Jonathan Ross)

Very true. I dare say the BBC attitude is, if it's not broken, why try and fix it ?
I hope Cordens episode is a good one.

If only I were so strong.... But I fear it will be car-crash TV... like Sam and Mick's Brit. Awards....
...Anyway, how could I satisfactorily slate it if I didn't watch it ? That would be hypocritical.. LOL

John Cleese - City of Death
Ken Dodd - Delta and the Bannermen
Richard Briers - Paradise Towers
And I'm sure there must be others.

Hale and Pace in 'Survival'
Whilst she is an actress but is more known for her comedy work, Catherine Tate.
Could also have a special mention for Jon Pertwee:)
