So the recipe loses some of its je ne sais quois if you ditch the marshmallows. What you could do, if you couldn't find any is chop up something like a Tunnock's tea cake - which is already chocolate covered and on a digestive biscuit and use that. The chocolate coating would hold its shape better than fluff which will likely disappear.

Tastes like vomit to me.
Holland and Barrett have vegan marshmallows, but they tend to be the small kind that people sometimes put in hot chocolate.
They taste just like the animal version too.
So find some that are less so. Ask at your local shop. I'm not in the UK, there's only so much I can do.
Yes. Thank you for adding that pointless bit of information to the discussion. In case you hadn't noticed I was explaining the origin of the snack the recipe was emulating and why substitute ingredients wouldn't be appropriate.
