Is this joint safe to cook ?

Hi all,

I took a joint of pork out of my dads freezer last night and let it thaw in the fridge. Upon asking my dad, he said that he had frozen the joint on the day that it had to be used by. I have had a smell of it and it doesn't smell off, but thought that I should ask.

No indication at all that it is off, I don't know why you wouldn't eat it personally.
