  It is a good series of films. They've been repeated a few times on Channel 5 as well as USA.
  
  It is the dark brooding nature of them that I like. The dog is very similar to the style of the films, his mournful face is so cute.
  
  Jesse don't take crap from no one.
  
  It's a shame they haven't made any films of the last few books.
  
  It does help if you see them in the right order (check wiki) as there is some continuity between the films.

  I guess the appeal is that it's more an old fashioned detective story, no CGI or other nonsense. Also an attitude on occasions of, "The end justifies the means."

  I have been recording them , while the World Cup is on.
  They are very watchable...
