I think we have similar but opposite problems - I've just ordered two pairs of these (the high arch version, one pair of running specific, one pair of the gym/active specific, so will report back. If they seem effective I'll probably buy a cycling specific pair too.
I love the look of Keds but I've never found a pair as flexible as I like. A couple of years back Clark's did a lightweight flexible brogue that I bought in multiple colours and had sueded at Timpsons. More recently I've been wearing Toms and a pair of the blingiest silver lace ups from Primark you can imagine, that after a couple of wears go as smooth as ice on the soles. I've been wearing a non orthotic insole in those but I had far less knee trouble when I was wearing the Clark's shoes, so maybe I need to turn up another pair on eBay or something!

Shoe shopping has never been a fun pastime for me as i have funny shaped feet, but I don't think anything will ever come close to the drudgery of buying new pointe shoes felt like it went on for days, and that was before you got to breaking them in, darning the toes and then the pain from actually dancing in them! Thankful I didn't do that for too many years... Poor Darcey

You can also buy suede soles and flexible adhesive on E bay. I have tried it twice now with reasonable success. The shoes are only ones I use for lessons and practise I wouldn't recommend it for a performance or competition. ( I don't do that anyway) But it has extended the life of shoes I found especially comfortable.

I'm not mad keen on Boogie Woogie and don't really follow it, but unless I am very much mistaken that is old (ten years ago?) footage of William and Maeva, who these days are well known Lindy Hoppers (and appeared on the French version of Britain's got Talent).
Its nice track Doghouse. I am not sure what I would dance to it though. The first slow bit would be OK for AT, I can visualise some nice slow steps and shapes, although it isn't setting my dance pulse racing. So possible rather than suitable I guess.
But when it changes up it goes a bit Studio 54 for me. So I am tempted to say Latin Hustle.
Each round of a ballroom competition will consist of all 5 standard dances (occasionally VW will be left until semi- and final rounds), and traditionally all competitive ballroom dances require black tail suit; white shirt; white cummerbund and black bow tie ..... a "proper" bow tie that is, not a pre-tied 'pretend' one! It isn't a case of black tie for one dance, white for another. Navy, grey and brown tail suits are acceptable, but are less often seen.
All tail suits are custom made to fit the dancer by specialist tailors; they are a totally different fit and design to those you can buy off the peg or have made for weddings, etc.
It is also acceptable for lounge suits to be worn instead of tails. But again these are custom made to be proper fit for ballroom.
BIB: Oh my golly gosh : I can't believe I typed Black Tie! It should of course have been WHITE always a white bow tie! Sorry!

I have watched the above link over and over again. I love the way he is leading the dance and she is making most of the movements. What a contrast with SCD where the pro, male or female does the leading and most of the dancing.
I sent it to a friend who I have been dancing salsa for 25 years or so with "I'll have to start dancing Forró do Brasil".
She replied: "I think so. and then you will have to teach me! I love the dance. After all the main function of man is to make women look good."
