I believe Microsoft delayed it to have a 'big' title to release in the run-up-to-Christmas. Still, it should be very polished and really looking forward to 4-player co-op campaign, horde, beast mode!
I love the first two, despite the p***-poor story, but I'm really not that hyped about this at all. I'm looking forward to ME3, Uncharted 3, & Batman AC far more than Gears 3.

Here's hoping the gap between Gears 2 and 3 will mean it is an awesome moist making game!
