Jack Nicholson the legend, the best actor alive today. Even in his 70's he still lives life to the full.

Chinatown for me is a masterpiece. Jack is good in it, but the whole package is great really - John Huston, Faye Dunaway, Roman Polanski behind the camera, great period detailing and soundtrack, deliberate pacing .... Superb film.

I also love The Pledge, which I believe was directed by Sean Penn. Nicholson is great here and his performace will stay with for a while after you watch the film.

He is also good value in stuff like The Departed. Apprently he improvised a lot of his lines and mannerisms to give his character a wild, unpredictable edge. You can see this in some of the scenes he shared with Leo DiCaprio.

I'd say One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest or As Good As it Gets.

A Few Good Men - he only has a supporting role but he acts everyone else off the screen.

Another for the Witches of Eastwick.

Delightfully overplayed - not many can do that.

I found him really funny in Anger Management too, a great pairing of young/old with him and Adam Sandler
