wonder when it will be on the DR Stream for DRX 895

It'll be the same as the one for the 890, so it's on there now:).

Yeah the new software will make a difference to how I use my box. I'll actually have to use my box to watch HD channels now. :(

Yes it is on dr stream just updated my 890, now at R.007.061.49.00.P

Just been trying the clash management, thats a big improvement.
Although I do all my planning from the sky+ iPad app now, it will be a big improvement for many.

What's changed regarding clash management in this version that wasn't in the last version?

What's the difference with the clash management. I can't see any difference

    Got an update yesterday.
When I turned my box on, there was a screen saying the box has been updated, press select to see what's new:

    - Eco mode
    - Can now order PPV without a phone line connected
    - 5.1 through HDMI (no optical needed)
    - A reminder that there is a deleted tab in the planner

Just the 5.1 via HDMI is for me a HUGE thing. No more optical cable needed.

    I love update like that!

5.1 over HDMI has been around since March, it's just now Sky have realised they need to let people know what's new in each update otherwise the features don't get used unless you go hunting around to see what's new.

Why is that, and does it apply to all HD channels?

Sorry to be a pain I am not sure how to do that and I am not sure wether I should do it myself or wait until dad comes home I don't want to mess things up.

    Switch off box at mains
Hold backup button down on front of box
keep it held down while switching box back on and eventually you will get a message saying software update in progress but you must keep the backup button held down to that message comes up

If you only have the one box and not multiroom, you can ditch the phoneline connection. However, checking your account via Sky Active still requires the phoneline connection for the time being if that would be an issue.

I didn't have the feature until this update.
Every each updates, I check all the menus to see what's new and 5.1 via HDMI wasn't there before today ;)

Maybe you were in a beta test or something...

Or more likely your box missed the R006 update with DD5.1 over HDMI in it...

It's been there on previous updates, your box must have been on an older firmware.
