The thing is with such big lashes that they easily come unglued - I so hope it happens - Siavash might think she has a spider on her and give her a slap (in a helpful way - not advocating violence here )

It was the very same tactic as Freddie's mask last week - she was hiding behind them so people wouldn't see her reactions.
And yes, she did look ridiculous.

Not as ridiculous as having two red peacock feathers protruding from either eye!

This is true, they annoyed me a lot.

False eyelashes rarely look natural or suit girls

Oh, I don't know, the fact the lashes and eye shadow looked awful, did kind of suit her! Sort of matched her character IYKWIM.

And yes, she did look ridiculous.

I'd agree that it was a masking technique if I thought she was sure that there was a chance she was going, but I'm not convinced that her superiority complex allowed her to think that it wouldn't be David that was going.

I'm not sure that was the reason Freddie wore his either. A lot of posters have expressed the belief that he wasn't expecting to go ("smug, arrogant bastard!!!1" &c). Personally, I think it could have just as easily been something like him not taking the whole thing too seriously and yet another half-hearted 'petty rebellion'. Or that it represented something else as he said on a few occasions he really liked face painting (wtf!) and maybe, if he thought there was a chance his luck ran out, he could take something he saw as good/positive, away with him out of the house.

Besides, just because Judie James couldn't 'read' him because of the face paint, it doesn't mean anything! I'm not convinced James could read a person if she read their private diaries.

I think she genuinly thought she looked nice with them on. Probably thought they gave her "Cheryl Cole" eyes

If they did look natural you wouldn't know they were false. So your argument is flawed. Bea's were way OTT but that what she was going for so it worked.
