There are quite a few to choose from.

Which is the best one to get?

I've come across:

The collection (2004)

Classic masters collection (2008)

The Ultimate collection [3 cds] (2007)

Or is there another compilation of 'hits' or 'best of' worth looking at?

    The 3 CD version of The Ultimate Collection is probably the one to go for if you can get it at a decent price (ranges between £15 and £28 for a new copy on Amazon)

    It replicates nearly all tracks from Private Life - Compass Point Sessions. Some of the tracks on Compass Point Sessions, the dub versions i think, were specially created for this release and aren't essential

    The Ultimate Collection starts with a selection of tracks from the first three albums and adds a couple of tracks from Inside Story as well as other tracks (Ring Of Fire, Man About The House, Living My Life 7" version, Slave To The Rhythm, Love On Top Of Love and Sex Drive)
