I just saw the announcement of new series Frankie, about a district nurse in Bristol. I wonder if it's going to be a Nurse Jackie rewrite? I suppose we'll know as soon as she cracks open some painkillers to put in her tea rather than sweetners...

Good to see Eve Myles back

she was arguebly the main star of Torchwood rather than John Barrowman, a good little actress with enough presence to be the lead in her own right.

Hope this series has good scripts behind it.

I too hope this isn't a limp copy of Nurse Jackie.

But I wasn't that bothered when it finished, it didn't seem to be going anywhere, just like Casualty.

This isn't bad, but really in my opinion it's in the same league as "The Royal" and should occupy a similar schedule spot. I wouldn't call it "peak time viewing."
