I was going to do this as a bonus thread for tomorrow but as it's Children In Need Day, thought it more appropriate.
As a story to feature my two favourite Doctors, I was looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint. It may be only seven minutes long but is absolutely hilarious. Tennant is at his humorous best and I love the fact that the Fifth Doctor takes a while to realise who he is, even thinking he part of the LINDA group from L&M!
I liked the whole explanation thing about Doctor's looking older when they meet, Tennant had a lot of fun with that!
As for Peter Davison, it was great to see his name in the titles, small thing but as a fan it was thrilling! The only problem as I saw it was that maybe his Doctor was written a bit too bad-tempered. He had always had the capacity to fly of the handle a bit but maybe it was pushed a little too far here, nearly making him act out of character.
That is a minor quibble as Davison was quite funny as well. Neat touch by Tennant paying tribute to his former self in the end and the episode was neatly joined from the last episode into the next.
Great stuff!

Sometimes, Moffat's dialogue can be overly flippant. I felt that with the Oswin episode: everything that she and the Doctor said to each other was a snarky one-liner. They didn't have a conversation, they chucked zingers at each other. The same is very much true of Tennant's Doctor here. He's a character who needs no assistance in looking smug, but the script chucks it on in spades.
Funny how we see things different!
I think this was Tennant at his absolute best and his gentle ribbing of the Fifth Doctor was well funny. I didn't see any smugness at all, but as I said.......
I love the way that Ten is so delighted to see Five, and it folds into 'Last of the Timelords' so well - to my mind, bringing some lightness to a wonderful, yet dark and sad episode. Their banter is priceless, and Davison is so great that it feels like a genuine loss when he leaves, as he has to...and then we're into the full-on adventure of Voyage of the Damned...It's fab.

To be really honest it makes me hanker a bit for the old opening credits (never bought into the new ones) and also the zest that seems to be going on is great. Don't think I appreciated it enough at the time - but that may turn out to be the case also in years to come when I come to watch repeats of what we have now. Who knows - get it? Who knows.. Who - WHO... Arrgh forget it
Anyway as for Time Crash, I'm really a bit 'meh' about it. It's fun and great to see Davison back. But it just made me want a proper episode.
You could be right about the multi-Doctor thing. After all, it's possibly CiN will be on Fri Nov 22nd next year.
I doubt they'd miss the chance to reunite the whole lot of them
The outfit alone has so many memories for me. I think the strongest being him playing cricket in Black Orchid. Perfect Who (as was the homage in Human Nature).
Unfortunately it's been further devalued by the same 'trick' by the writer - the Doctor knowing what he should do, because he knows or is told that it's already been done. The same thing in the series 5 finale and the same thing in the other CiN special with multiple Amys (though I can't remember who resolved that - was it Amy who knew what to do?). Any more I've missed?
Nevertheless, as a fan, I'll always feel that warm glow about this looking back
If anything, it's a shame we didn't get a little more banter between the two as it was a pure delight. I loved the little joke thrown in with the beard/The Master's wife, and the reference to LINDA was also brilliant.
The only bit I struggled with was the 'My Doctor' line. I hate little lines like that, as they feel more like a reference from the writer or the actor, rather than the character. I guess that indicates my disdain for David Tennant's, uh, The Tenth Doctor's final words in The End of Time then
Aside from that though, this was a lovely, sentimental little treat and introduced a whole new Doctor to a whole new generation.
