I liked the mid-80's package, probably the one just before the one you linked to, mainly because of the TOTH cut.

I liked the Jam package, 'Britain's favourite'.

I think it was an 80's package.

I loved the first jingles based on the Radio London ones , still my favourites, especially in the first few months at 4.30 pm just before Pete Brady started his show when they always played "The Voice of Radio One" which was based on Big L's "The London Sound" jingle...but then, I'm just an old ageing anorak whose mind is still drifting around beyond the three-mile limit......:cool::D

I'll have to mention my 3 favourites, as can't choose between them....
    1. JAM's '1FM' package
    2. JAM's 'Closer To The Music' package
    3. JAM's 'Ultimate One' package.

I think these packages featured around 1988-1992 (roughly the time they were switching on their FM transmitters).

    ;)

Probably a good excuse to post a few of the packages mentioned in montage form.

    1987 Package "Britain's Favourite" (08-09/87)

    1990 Package
"Music Radio For The 90s" (12/89)

1992 Package "Closer To The Music (11/91)

I've got plenty more if you're interested or want the cuts sent on their own privately.

Does anyone happen to have the sting that Bruno used to use on the chart show between 1992 and 1995? Without talking over the top of it? I have all the jingles used but not the scary sounding music that they used in between songs.

    Much appreciated.....

It would be good to have an archive of all these montages in one place as its often hard to find them.

Thanks for these, terrific memories - sound so much better than the sweepers we have to use on a certain commercial radio group!

Do you mean the bed that he did the countdown over, the "John Wells" chart position stings or one of the jingles in between?

OK then fellas, here's some more of JAM's finest for Radio 1

    1976 Jingles

    1976-78 Add Ons

    1978 Jingles

    1978-80 Add Ons

    1980 Jingles

    1980-1982 Add Ons

    1982 Jingles

    1982-1984 Add Ons

    1984 Jingles

    1985-1987 Add Ons

1988-89 Add Ons (Including 21st Birthday Song)

The bed that he used when introducing songs. Who's John Wells?

He was the male US voice used by Radio 1 in the early 90s.

Chris Moyles still uses his stuff when he does the Golden Hour on Fridays.

Nah they seem to be working OK, even when I'm logged out.
Unsurprisingly it appears to be the most popular download.

PM me if anyone's having problems downloading.

I guess your "favourite" package will be largely determined by when you listened to the station the most.

For me, it was the 1984 "best sound in Britain" Jam package, which were largely re-sings of the Jam package for KIMN Denver.
