Teacher sacked after pupil showed her horrific jihadist beheading video

She should have asked him what he wanted to show her before allowing him to go to the video clip. I don't suppose she would have had any idea that he intended to show her them barbaric murderers killing someone.

This case is stunning and not just because she has to go to jail.

First off the school choose a sub teacher to take a class that is learning Spanish of which she does not speak a word ?

Okay you think at the very least she could have a go at trying to something to teach them. A film you say sounds great a Spanish language film I assume ?

No, how about a horror film but surely she has seen it first right.

no you say okay that's not such a great idea.

She shows it 5 times but claims she never saw it.

Hang on then where was she the 4 times after it was shown in the class ? Surely she was in the class with the students and saw the film the first time. At which point she should have stopped the film but no she not only allows the film to run but then shows it 4 more times.

Best about the loony women his her statement in court

"Kearns handed a reporter a handwritten statement that praised God and included a Bible quote from Galatians: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"

This some odd Chewbacca defense. It does not make any sense and has nothing to do with the court case.

If I was the judge I would have throw her in jail too. Just for the hell of it really why not makes a good end to the story.

I agree she should havr gotten fired for showing a horror film but getting sent to prision is going to far.

I was watching horror films from about 4 years old all the old Hammer ones and had my own VHS of A Nightmare On Elm St and Friday The 13th when I was 7 and always got the lasest one when it came out but it was always my choice to watch and O don't think school is the appropriate place to show any horror film.

From the bbfc website it's got, whisper it, erect penises in it, and doesn't have an MPAA rating. As such it'd probably be considered pornographic as well as horror in America. Elm Street and Friday the 13th would be considered mainstream movies there as they have the MPAA R rating, and ABC's of Death wouldn't.

    I agree.

Why the hell was she sacked?

This was an obvious set up - what about the little shit who tricked her into showing the beheading?

    I also agree.

I'm sure the little brat 'knows his rights' and a group of social workers, liberals, do-gooders etc. all blame that evil, nasty maths teacher for this >:( >:(

I hope the teacher involves fights this and gets her job back. If she'd want to work in such a place, of course, after this.

I think it's sickening enough that the teacher was shown a video like that.

To add the fact that the teacher was sacked because it of it is one of the most abusrd things ever. It just HAS to be a set up, and more people should be up in arms about it.

A total disgrace - and I bet the little shit is playing the victim in all of this - whilst the poor woman's career is in ruins. >:(

Not only that but I know if I had to watch such a video, I would never get over it. She'll be haunted by those images for the rest of her life, very possibly.

ABC's of Death is pretty crap really. There are only 4 or 5 episodes on there worth watching.

Clearly she's a silly, silly woman for doing this numerous times. But jail? Good god. Just fire her if it's that bad. It's not like this was a kindergarten class or something, these were teenagers who have probably seen worse.

    I don't understand.

Ridiculous sentence. It was a stupid decision to show the video, but these were 14 to 18 year olds who have probably seen far worse already. There would have been far more appropriate judgments, and she's essentially going to prison for being dumb.

I can see why it is a sacking offence. But it shouldn't be a criminal matter when it seams this video is available on Netflix , so it is hardly obscene.

However what is more shocking it that a teacher that doesn't speak any Spanish was employed as a long term substitute Spanish teacher. That really is a sign of how poor the US education system is in some schools.
