CryptoWall 3.0

Has anyone else suffered from the CryptoWall 3.0 ransomware virus?

It's been attacking my computer for around six weeks and I can't permanently shift it.

I've tried various programs to get rid of it such as Spy Hunter but those didn't work.

Malwarebytes removes it temporarily but it comes back after a few days.

Any suggestions really appreciated.

I'd suggest working your way through the various suggestions starting with these removal tools listed here https://www.google.co.uk/#q=cryptowall+removal+tool then try this one here http://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/7844-cryptowall-virus and also running Malwarebytes again and finally working your way through through this lot:

If all else fails and you have a clean up to date back up of all your important personal data and the means to install any software you need then the simplest option might be to zap Windows into oblivion and start again.

Obviously that requires some means to re-install Windows which could be an install disk or a recovery partition on your computer's hard drive. There comes a time when you've faffed about so much and got nowhere very fast that re-installing Windows becomes the lesser of several evils. And it may be the only way to guarantee the problem is solved.

Though if you haven't got a back-up that does complicate matters somewhat.
