I haven't anything about her in years! This is going to be interesting. I wonder what his dad's like? I will be interested to see what she thinks of Shabnam.

How? Bonnie is a well known stage actress. Thank your lucky stars White Dee wasn't cast, following the trend of putting reality 'stars' in soap acting roles - re the dire Kym Marsh and Co.

I thought you were talking about Bethany on Corrie at first - she is a bit like the brat that Bonnie Langford played - Violet Elizabeth Bott.

    Shame she's not permanent.

I know I'm on the minority but I quite liked Mel. Her main problem is how she was not written well. She was supposed to be tough computer expert but was written as the normal screamer girl. Bonnie is decent herself.

I remember her in a TV programme called Junior Showtime when I was a kid, back in the early 70s. I've since seen her on stage several times and she's a great actress.

Didn't she win opportunity knocks or new faces?

I remember her from a Just William. Can't remember her much in Dr Who. Seems that both those characters were annoying and she was a bit of a stage school brat.

Hope her character in eastenders is not annoying and the audience like her. Sounds like the actress is good.

    Looking forward to this.

This is also Bonnie's second time she will have appeared in Albert Square.

Kitkat said we are not allowed to bring that up ;-)

I am not sure I can swallow Bonnie as Kushs mum looks wise so I hope they have really good on screen chemistry.

There's nothing wrong with someone having a smiley face. She's been an actress for over 40 years so I'm sure she'll play the role as directed, whether she has to smile, be unhappy or whatever.

Each to their own! I will be happy to FF every scene she is in....;-)

She'll be good. Just William and Dr Who were 30 years ago so I think she will be capable of something much different/better now.

    This doesn't make sense.

Bonnie looks nothing like Kush. She shares literally no comparisons to him facially, so that doesn't make sense. I suppose we are to assume he got all of his genes from his father.

It's such a strange casting. It seems as if DTC is only trying to get "big names" on EastEnders instead of actually being realistic.
