Almost everyone I know loves U2, and deep down I know objectively they're very good. But however hard I might fight against it and try to like them, I would rather eat nails than listen to them. I have no idea why I have this weird allergy to them - possibly it's because Bono has almost no redeeming features - but I'm just perplexed by them.
I do not in any way see the appeal of Rihanna. I cannot fathom how anyone can see someone who releases an album every 10-11 months while still doing a world tour, and therefore having pretty much no input whatsoever into her albums, as an artist at all. Add to that the fact she has an appalling live voice and has recently been a shocking role model to her young fans by dating a convincted wife-beater, and I can't think of almost anything to like.
I appreciate the value of their music but I just find it incredibly unpleasant to listen to.
Same here. I can't love it.
I can't really click with Bjork either. I don't know why - the way she works appeals to me, but her music always disappoints.
Probably been said a million times before, but Lady Gaga. I keep hearing how clever and actually-really-good her music is, but all I hear is shouty overproduced electropop with really terrible lyrics.

Because that's all it is, the main person who deifies her music is Gaga herself. She's nothing more than an incredible PR woman.

I can't stand U2 either, especially Bono. He needs a good slap in the face with a wet fish.
I do like "It's Oh So Quiet" but none of her other stuff I've been exposed to has interested me.
I'm afraid to say that that track was painful to my ears in a bad way, however Venus As A Boy is sublime and sensual - so some Bjork is easy to listen to.

I quite like that one, and Play Dead. The rest, just doesn't work for me, for some reason I don't understand.
I fail to see what is interesting or special about stuff that David Guetta has been involved in.

I agree totally. I never liked that song and viewed it almost as a novelty song, it's a shame that it's the one song she's most associated with generally.
I've tried to get into her music several times, there's a few tracks that I like Venus As A Boy, Human Behaviour and Bachelorette but the rest just goes in one ear and out the other.
Jennifer Lopez. Bubble gum rnb-lite sound with a goat voice latching on to whatever's popular.
She's had some decent songs written for her but her voice wrecks them. If people want to look up to her as some sort of style icon or gush about how "stunning" she's meant to be then fine, and I can't comment on her acting as I've never seen her anything but her "singing" ugh just no, I don't get it.

Ditto.

Adele
Rihanna
Conor Maynard
Justin Bieber
Rita Ora
One Direction
All ridiculously overhyped/mostly style over substance
I do like Adele's personality though
^ I love that song..but this did make me LOL

I listen to plenty of non-chart music in fact mostly non-chart music. Why did you assume I don't?
