So in your opinion who has the greatest female singing voice in the world today? Now you don't have to be a fan, just someone you recognize as the best.
Who has that technically perfect voice? Always gives perfect or near perfect performances and has proven over the years that they are the best in your eyes.
An answer I think will be posted alot is madonna, who I disagree with as she is an all round entertainer, there are many superior voices out there.

Christina and Beyonce (from what I've seen) always give a near perfect performance.
Kylie is never out of tune but her voice isn't as good as the ones above.
Yeah she has the most consistently strong voice. She's managed to keep, if not improve, her vocals over decades whilst Mariah and Whitney's have deteriorated.
She was humble enough to say that Christina has the best voice though.
Nice lady. Shame about the accent
Elsewhere Christina Aguilera
I don't know how anyone could say Florence - I love her - but she's always out of tune:eek:
I think Leona Lewis has quite a small voice in many ways and not very versatile.
I've seen Beyonce live - I think Beverley Knight knocks spots off her .
Yep - after Christina I would go for Beverley Knight - not the most glitzy or successful diva in the world - but I struggle to think of anyone better who is at their peak right now.

Also, Christina, Leona, Beyonce and Gaga (she may not have as strong a voice as the others here but she never sings out of tune and still has a fantastic voice)
Definitely and Christina singing "You Lost Me" is wonderful and just the type of female vocal I love, you can keep all your "wailing wanderers" thankyou very much, they do absolutely nothing for me.
followed by Beyonce
followed by Joss Stone
followed by Leona Lewis
Joss stone is underated these days, it really bugs me

There are many singers out now who can hit particular notes, and maybe even SING those notes. There are singers who can transition well between registers. There are singers who will have a voice long after she loses hers. But Miss Christina has something that they don't, and that's soul. She has never done a blues and jazz performance that's less than incredible. Her style of singing may not be to everyone's taste, but she is pretty much universally recognised within the industry as THE singer.
2. Leona Lewis
3. Kelly Clarkson
4. Christina Aguilera
How do you respond to people who regularly analyse her 'live' performances with computer software?

Yep I agree with that she's amazing!
Yep, one of my favourite American soul singers.
As for Britain, I think over the past 15 years, Beverley has proven herself with live jams like this and this that she is still pretty much top of the league over here after 15 years, vocally. The strength of those performances earned her an invitation to perform with Prince & Stevie Wonder at the Oscars after show. She was also invited by Chaka Khan to perform for Quincy Jones at his Birthday Party as a special guest. Not that notable for someone who is internationally renowned but for someone who isn't even famous in her native country, her endorsements speak for themselves.
Both Fantasia & Beverley love getting funky & old school, would love to her them perform together!

I know! Soul as in her vocal style, not the genre. She can put her voice to almost anything but you can't deny that its still soulful.
Bev can sing anything too - soul, pop, rock, RnB, Reggae, DnB, Jazz, Blues.. Over the years she has put her voice to lots of different genres but I'd still call them soulful.
Typical pop song - Robbie Williams 'Angles'. Beverley wrapped her chops around them and made it sound like a gospel track
