Let us praise the Messiah's wife's gloves! For they are a sign!

Green as well, they are too!

Now nutty pastor is rambling on.

Loved GWBush's muted reception. He had a brave face for it.

    I didn't know America's national anthem at all :o

I can't understand what she's singing apart from 'let it be'

Well I had to switch off the praise the Lord man and the singing (I love Aretha Frankin but that was not good :o ). Just waiting for the big one now then I've got to clean the bedroom. Some things don't change. :D

Oh no it's cello first. Shouldn't they skip it since it's nearly midday? (Again I love Yo Yo Ma but it seems out of place here,)

Americans use the British National Anthem's tune for a national song of their own.

I know, it shouldn't be allowed...

It always cracks me up that American's have nothing to fall back on during state occasions than celebrity...

Yeah it's originally a traditional American shaker tune. Also known as the hymn Lord of the Dance in the UK

The song was "My Country, 'Tis Of Thee." A traditional American patriot song, the lyrics were written in 1831 and joined with the melody of Britain's "God Save The King."

Well it sure wasn't the star spangled banner. Why did they choose that - do they secretly wish they were still British?:D

That's the cost of being a nation of "citizens" instead of a nation of some monarch's "subjects.":) The Americans fought a revolution to get that way, you know.
