    No.

It's time has gone, and so has John Sullivan.

Let them both lie in peace.

No - it was of a time and wouldn't work without the original characters and David Jason just isn't what he used to be. Maybe if they set it in a care home with Delboy scamming the residents that might be interesting.

You could of brought most of the characters back anyway.

The story should have ended when they found the watch. Simple as that.

You would have to replace the main character with another actor as David Jason is 73 now and probably wanting a rest with his family. Some things are best left as they were...a new cast wouldn't recreate the magic of the originals.

The Saville squad are hovering over Del Boy so it's probably not a good idea.

No chance. Del boy in his 70's. No Uncle Albert. A Grown up Damian. No John Sullivan. It would be crap.

Aren't the endless repeats on various channels enough for you ?

Hear hear. I watched the first one after that and it was dreadful so I never watched any of the new ones after that.

I loved it like most people but it should be gone and stay gone, David Jason is way too old, Nicholas Lyndhurst doesn't look like the gormless lanky gimp anymore and of course no Albert etc etc

It's one of those that should remain in the History books forever as a true national treasure.

How long did it take you to ask at least 30,000,001 people their opinion?

    I know you didn't ask me... and I wouldn't.

The age of people selling cheap foreign rubbish from market stalls has gone - too many shops are doing it now. Not to mention the effect of a couple of decades of consumer protection legislation.

I think for comic relief, maybe a 5 or 6 minute sketch or something but not as a series or special,it should have stopped when they got all the money.

Agreed it should have quit after the trilogy of episodes in 1996. That would have made the most perfect ending for something British since the Beatles split after recording the Abbey Road album.

Best to pretend those three Xmas Days Specials 2001-3 never happened IMHO.

Not only were the last trilogy dire. But it unforgivably robbed the British public of what an awful lot of the country wanted ...

A happy ending for the Trotters (Del in particular), he finally had everything he had always wanted.

That's where it should of ended.

I recall Ian Lavender talking about an Interview he gave about Dad's Army in New Zealand in the '80's.

Interviewer : "So Dad's Army, a lot of those guys are no longer with us.."
    IL "Yes that's true"
Interviewer: "Arthur Lowe died, John Le Mes, John Laurie, and Arnold Ridley died recently, and of course James Beck, he died very young during the filming;"
IL "Yes, he was very young"
Interviewer: "And the guy who played the verger died recently, and the lady who played your mother, I understand she passed away as well"
    IL "Yes, all gone"

Interviewer: "Tell me.....are they making any more ??"

I think the rot set in with the 1990 and 1991 Christmas specials, they just weren't funny, although the last full series in 1991 was a masterpiece. It should really have ended with the 1996 Christmas special, which was a classic, as the last trilogy was hopeless.
