Sorry? On the preview Leslie said "You stinking French ****" to Frenchy

If he had said "You stinking African ****" to a African housemate. Big Brother would remove him surely?

Surely it is Racism or am I missing the point?

    I'm NEVER one to play the 'racism' card or throw the word around willy nilly but I completely agree in this case. I actually think he should be removed. Using someone's race in a derogatory term against them, in an aggressive manner, is racist IMO.

    You do realise that the French are a nationality, not a race right? :D

    Not racist but it shouldn't matter what 'ist' you call it.

    Shouldn't...but of course it does...there is a definite hierarchy to prejudice. Just look at all the heightist bigotry aimed at Leslie and tolerated by everyone as proof of that.

    Actually its proper name is "Francophobia" but he didnt portray such hatred to her personally - actually she probably took it as a compliment :D

    Sorry I'm just really confused.

    I personally feel Kellie threatend Frenchy too and doesn't seem like Big Brother is doing nothing about it.

    Is it possible to go a day on this forum without a racism related thread being made?, seriously guys.
    Calling a French person "French" isn't being racist, if he had said "You garlic eating, beret wearing French ****", that wouldn't of been racist, it would of been stereotyping though.

    Having said that, Leslie is awful, really bitter.
