So my pc froze...

Last night. It just locked up. Spinning circle of death, couldn't get into task manager or anything. In the end I had to hold down the power button.

Re-boot got the windows wasn't shut down properly so scanned for any faults and it found none.

Got back to desktop, load internet explorer and it's lost EVERY single log in and password that it was supposed to remember. How can that happen? Any ideas, IE wasn't even open when it locked up.

Vista is os and before you say that's the reason, save your sarcasm. It isn't.

Thank you.

It's because it has Vista as an OS. :P :D

Possible corrupt disk file and it's done a self repair and put a clean version of I.E. on.

Hasn't happened to me for years, but that's mainly because I don't use I.E. as my main browser nowadays. :)
