Meanwhile, in football news, the 2nd round of the League Cup:

     Morton v Montrose
    Stranraer v Ross County
    Dundee v Forfar Athletic
    Dumbarton v Dundee United
    Kilmarnock v Hamilton Academical
    Airdrieonians v Livingston
    Partick Thistle v Cowdenbeath
Queen of the South v St. Mirren
    Aberdeen v Alloa Athletic
Raith Rovers v Heart of Midlothian
    Falkirk v Dunfermline Athletic

It means Forfar are visiting Dens twice in a week after we drew them in the Challenge Cup as well. Falkirk v Dunfermline should be interesting, and Stranraer v Ross County is the very definition of "oooft".

Raith v Hearts should be close.

So Green wants £14m for 28% of shares of a £30m company

Meanwhile Jim McColl doesnt want to buy any more shares.

I think the SFA should turn round and tell Rangers, you got 4 weeks to sort out your house, and put your affairs in order, by the end of the 6 weeks, if you haven't done this, you will be expelled from the SFA

That was one honking game 0-0 though and we're through.

Think the pitch was to blame, to fast, so Elfborgs are now in the Europa league play of round, it will be interesting to see how other teams cope playing away, and how much the pitch affect there game

we need at least 3 quality players.

What do people think of Forrest? To me his a sprinter and no more than that.

Nowhere near the ability of Mcgeady!!!

I have never really rated Forrest to be honest, not in the same class as Mackay-Steven but that sounds biased coming from me

Wilson is leaving so we'll need another central defender along with a new goal scoring machine.

The draw looks decent possible for Celtic I don't think Maribor or Austria Vienna would be easy but they would be winnable

Helps prevent friction burns, if slide tackles or the likes occur.

Already signed two central defenders so I am not sure that will be a priority. We have Mulgrew, Ambrose, Mouyokolo, Virgil and, at a push, Lustig who can play there.

Be an early afternoon kick off for the 1st leg due to the five hour time difference.

Awkward journey but the poorest team left in it

Aye, not the best that its so far away but good that its not a very good team. We probably couldnt have picked an easier tie to get through to get into the Champions League, especially being away first. If we win away which we probably will it will be all over.

I have concerns with the McNamara/Donnelly management team at Tannadice.

Poor start to the season it looks like yet again. I have no problems with a young manager but preferably an experienced assistant.

I do think both of these two may be found out badly in SPL and prove to be out of their depth.

The loading of the team with first division players concerns me as well.

I hope we dont have another Ian McCall, Craig Brewster type situation on our hands but I think we might.

6 wins in 19 as manager and counting

Just wondering, why are Celtic playing a friendly on a Saturday after the Scottish league season has already begun?

Seems a bit silly to postpone a league game so Celtic can play a friendly game.
