My friend has been given crabs by his uncle, who is moving away to Australia and cannot keep them.

He asked me to post if any of you know how to deal with crabs, what they like to eat etc...

I presume his uncle will tell him, but we're doing some research in the mean time. Can you give them lettuice?

amazes me the ammount of people who come in here asking for information about particular creatures when a simple google search could tell them more than anyone in this forum ever could....
have people forgotten how to use google or is it because they are trying to get as many posts as possible...

i mean what is the internet for if not researching exactlly what your asking.

sorry rant over and no offence

Coconut crabs, Birgus latro, are rarely kept, get to a metre across and cost hundreds of pounds each. I wouldnt think they are those? they may be Hermit Crabs though? they are easy to keep, but need specific care and conditions, theres info on how to keep them here,
