2014 World Science Fiction Convention - Loncon3
London won the bid for the 2014 convention (it was unopposed), the first time the convention has been in London since 1965 and the first time in the UK since Glasgow 2005.
Guests of Honour include Iain M. Banks, Robin Hobb and Chris Foss (whose art adorned so many paperback covers when I was first buying SF).
Dates are Thursday 14 to Monday 18 August 2014 and the venue is the ExCeL Centre.
It ain't cheap (£95).

I miss them but I wouldn't want to go to one these days - but enjoy it if you go!
Btw, I think £95 is dead cheap for a 5 day convention!
