    I very much doubt it.

And I very much doubt it.

The Tories and Labour won't lose their deposits in Clacton.

No I wouldn't have thought so. Not on the mainland. Will it happen in Clacton? It is a possibility but unlikely.

IMHO Lib and Lab will. Tories just might.

My, we are getting carried away aren't we? If it's Clacton you are fantasizing about then the Lib Dems are likely to lose theirs but that is hardly anything new these days.

Not at all. Pop into Clacton and see the picture for yourself.

I doubt they do - just another typical leftie sneering at the lower orders. Nothing worse than supposed socialists who sneer and look down at working class people.

Frinton is in the seat - and is a very nice town indeed. More Hyacinth Bucket than Kat Moon!

Given me Clactonites any day over champagne socialists.

Can't see how it could happen to be honest.

Even with UKIP and others, Lib/Lab/Con collectively make up more than about 60% of the electorate everywhere, and in many areas it's more than 95%.

To lose the deposit they'd have to all get less than 5% of the vote, meaning more than 85% of the vote would go elsewhere.

UKIP just aren't that popular and neither are any other parties.

I think you will find it is the Tories on here who are doing the sneering.

What kind of vote shares are you hypothesising to consider that all three might go so far as to lose their deposits?

It would be amusing if they did.

    65,000 electorate
    70% turn out
    Of these:
    Less than 5% (3,250) Liberals
    Less than 5% (3,250) Greens
    Less than 5% (3,250) others
    .? Labour
    .? Tories
    60% plus Ukip

Tories probably with a bit to share will save theirs, Labour will be knife edge for them.
