The BBC boards are so poorly moderated don't you think ? More than slightly biased and afraid of their own shadow.
The worst of it was that I kept getting emails from the Hosts saying that some idiot kept complaining about my posts and naming someone not a million miles away as the culprit and that they were by far the worst offender regarding complaints.I do still sometimes post on there though but these boards are far superior.
I have no idea what's going on in this thread but it reminds me of watching POV once and during a shot of the message board seeing a post saying "this place is hella ghey"

LOL.
I have no idea what's going on either.
Came across this thread while searching for something else. Some poor bloke moaning because he was banned from the BBC POV boards for some reason, much to boring to go into detail.
Hard cheese bud.Break the house rules and that's what you get.Get over it !
I've just been reading one of Doghouse Riley's posts on the POV message board about Stephen Fry ,where he attacks other message board posters in a most aggressive manner. So I am not surprised he was banned. In fact I wonder how they allow him to post at all.
BTW the post goes something like ' Don't tell me what to do......'
One of the funniest posts I've read in a long time.
It seems like the BBC, CH4 and Living TV messageboards, are being run by anti-free speech people.
From what I've heard about the way those boards are moderated, I know I won't be wasting my time with them.
Some people have real trouble accepting that not everything is sunshine and rainbows and when that's going on by people who run discussion boards, there's just no point. Yes, there are legal obligations to think about but when it feels like you can't breathe without risking a ban why do people bother?

Spot on Time Lady.
Some people just cannot take their punishment and move on.
Anyhow I thought this guys aggressive and uncalled for post on the Stephen Fry BBC POV Televison thread (19 Jan ) was a quite disgusting rant against his fellow board members. It appears that although he feels it is right to dish out stick to others he cannot take it himself.I've no sympathy for him he knows the rules.I have noticed that he has fallen out with alot of other members because of his ' Mr.Angry ' attitude towards them.

Except that in this case it is not just down to legal obligations. Those messageboards have a corporate identity attached to them, so in that respect they must be seen to uphold the values that those well-respected corporations/organisations stand for.
It is broadly similar to looking at the DS forums (bearing in mind that DigitalSpy does have a "brand reputation") and some of the lesser-known and supported forums where language and talk is a lot less moderated.

Banned from the BBC Points of View mesage board were you ?
Never.
What goes around comes around eh Riley ?
I quite like those boards but they are not as good as digitalspy.
Whatever happened to that fine poster PaulOwenofBrum?
Do you know anything about why he never posts on there anymore ?
Amateur moderators eh ?
What can you do with them ?
Anyway these digitalspy boards are much better run.Don't you think ?

Read it if you have time.

Although Time Lady made a good point I find myself agreeing with you also.
( White Season message board POV section )
He's having a right whinge on there.
Really funny.
Expect another thread from him on here anytime soon, moaning about the BBC Hosts.:)
