  i thought Emma was only giving up BBOTS not the main show in which case rylan will just present BBOTS on his own anyway

  Ah, what? Emma does just fine as the main presenter. She's not over the top and she's anything but dull. Channel 5 made the right decision when making her the presenter of the main show. I think Rylan's too over the top for the main show. He's best suited to the after show where being over the top doesn't really matter.
