Where do they live in the US? In the area where I live we have loads of Indian restaurants. Some good, some not...just like in the UK. Looking at this list alone there are nearly 100 Indian restaurants just in the Houston area http://www.b4-u-eat.com/eat002.asp?H=17&H2=0 and this one is the menu from my personal favorite http://www.shivarestaurant.com/page2.html

Your friend must live in the middle of nowhere. I would hate not having a huge variety of restaurants like we do here. There are lots of websites where your friend can order mixes and jars of sauces if that's what they like though.

She lives in the blue ridge mountains VA she's abit 20 min from her stores. I've been to her stores on many occasions and haven't noticed any real Indian stuff! Otherwise she'd get it

Wow, so she does live in the middle of nowhere.

I've used this website before to order stuff www.goodwoods.com and they were really good. They have the Pataks jalfrezi sauce too. http://www.goodwoods.com/pataksjalfrezicookingsaucemild-sweetpeppersandcoconut.aspx

I don't think they sell the Loyd Grossman sauces but there are some other sites that she can order them from.

That way you won't have to worry about taking up all your space in your bags and the possibility of the jars breaking and ruining your things. :)
