I havent tried the totally wicked ecigarettes although i have tried many others, so do you think it is good value for money and does it produce a lot of vapor when puffing?

for me its the more vapor the better :)

The Ego cig that they sell is probably the best starter ecig that you can get. You can get it cheaper else where but you have to make sure you get the original and not a copy. I'd rather just go to Totally Wicked rather than look about to save a few quid. The ejuice that they do is great as well.

Two years later, I've now moved to using this one instead:

    http://www.ukecigstore.com/innokin-itaste-mvp-vv-2600mah

I prefer it. It produces masses of vapor. The Ego one from Totally Wicked is a good one to start from and see how you get on with them though.

Vype disposable are the same size as a real cigarette and with a soft tip. Tobacco flavoured as well. But a bit pricey. They are sold online and in selected Sainsbury stores.

These types of ecigs are the 'worst' you can buy. There's much better around if you have a look.

Ebay have started selling e-cig stuff again (was banned previously) it's flooded with gear you can get a basic starter kit for £10 (batter, clearomizer, charger and some liquid). I think the liquid sold on their has to be nicotine free...think a few sellers are ignoring this rule though.

They are being sold as "Shisha Pens" :D

I tried the ecigs that look like cigarettes and gave up after a few days but whilst on holiday I bought one of these

    http://www.thevapourbar.co.uk/shop/article_1/Ego-Vision-v2-Full-Starter-Kit-1100mah-COLOURED.html?sessid=zN2uz7SJaXzRntMoJ13FCCjaoepUWiXY1JlcrZ5FNQZKXKjzAO5Zquz9iyKSxZpw&shop_param=cid%3D2%26aid%3D1%26

As some one who has smoke for more years than I care to remember this has really help me cut down to virtually no cigarettes at all and the one I am smoking are more from habit than anything else and I'm not enjoying them at all

Hi, starter kits available at http://clearmistuk.co.uk/ starting from just £20, which includes e-cig, 900mAh battery, 1.6ml CE4 optimizer, Usb Charger and 1 free 10ml e-liquid.

Hi, after trying many e-cigarettes I've finally found the best ones at good prices too, they are from www.puffindoors.co.uk
The batteries come with a life time guarantee and they also do many flavours of the e-liquids too. The cartomisers last a long time and there is no horrible after taste like you get with others I've tried.
Customer service is great too! I hope this helps you!:)

I got my first e-cig thingy from Asda yesterday (can't believe I've succumbed to it, but there you go).

    It's this one:

    http://www.ok-ecig.com/shop/ok-rechargeable-starter-set/

Only £6 for a Starter Pack

How many puffs do you take at a time from these things, and what is the equivalent to one cigarette please? (As you can see I haven't got used to it yet. :D)

You couldnt have bought anything worse.

You take as much puffs as you need until you feel satisfied. Which may well be never with that set up.

Just thought I would chip in on this, I've been vaping a while and at the start got suckered into buying an Ego Starter kit for about £50, way overpriced for what it was. It becomes quickly apparent that the normal Ego batteries just don't cut the mustard. What anyone starting out needs is a Variable Voltage battery. These come in various versions like the Innokin VV3 or Vision Spinner or an Ego Twist. Being able to vary the voltage means that you can turn the heat up and down and as such find the right setting for you. The bog standard Egos dont allow you to do this. Also important is the Tank or cartomiser that you use, for little money go for the Innokin iClear16, these are great as they have four wicks and give good flavour and vapour. Or if you think you will be using it quite a bit then a bigger Tank like the iClear30s or Kanger ProTanks are also good but cost a bit more. Lastly e-liquid is important and you only want to buy stuff that is produced by reputable people. This will be in child safe bottles and be CHIP compliant. I would suggest these http://www.vapelondon.com/product-category/vaping-starter-kits/ Good price and selection.

I think that may have been me. :) more than happy with the kit and still not had a cig.

Here's a better value one with stronger batteries and free delivery over £20 so the price should be what is stated with no extra costs.

    http://vapeland.co.uk/ego-t-ce5-stainless-steel-starter-kit-900mah-218-p.asp

6 months now for me without a cig :)

I don't usually write on forums usually a lurker, but noticed the link you posted is the vendor I use.

Vapeland have been brilliant with me, although they don't have the greatest selection of liquids in the world, I use ecigwizard for my liquid, I continue to use vapeland for all my parts, batteries etcetc.

If you have got off the tobacco flavour, I highly recommend nuclear plusion from ecigwizard, its like a mix of aniseed and liquorice, beautiful.

If anyone is thinking about starting up, the kit below is what I have bought time again, its only a tenner, and a good introduction into vaping without a huge initial outlay.

Why is it most of these recent posts have been from new posts. It's almost like they have joined to promote their companies?

I have no affiliation with Vapeland apart from being a customer, I quoted them anyway from a poster with over 700 posts. I do see where your coming from the few above my post do seem like self promotion as the sites are fairly new and very badly priced.

Vapeland have been around for quite a while, so I don't think the owner would be in a position to need to self promote.

I've never used the Nicolite but when I first started using e-cigs I got a kit from Sky Cig which is similar with pre-filled cartomisers.
The first thing you learn is that you can take their claims of cartomosers being equal to so many cigarettes with a pinch of salt..
Buying pre-filled cartomisers can be pretty expensive and if saving money is a concern I would look at the kits which let you fill the cartomisers yourself.
    This is the type I use now but plenty other suupliers available;

I have been looking at e-cigs online for hours today, found this thread so informative, thank you. I have gone with the above, ordering later (when money goes onto prepaid card :D)

We have 2 shops that sell all the vaping gear, they were great if not a bit more expensive than buying online. At least I got the right starter kit for me and got to try different flavours so I knew I had something I liked.

It's been 5 weeks since I smoked and I'm spending far to much time looking up ecig stuff because I keep burning out the atomisers,. Trying to find the right one leaves me baffled because there is so much choice.

I used to promote two brands all the time back in the day but I'm not a big fan of skycig, think they have gone a bit too corporate, also elites used to much better than they are now.

i like green smoke now and apollo cigs, they are great value for money. source: experience, personal purchases, my experience and bestecig.org.uk

Also would advise to nut buy eliquid on the cheap, find a UK manufacturer and provider.

Avoid Chinese and cheap eliquid. If you want a decent cheap liquid google one pound eliquid. It's made in the UK and to be fair it's pretty good, I use it as my all day vape as vaping the premium stuff gets expensive using it all day. Keep the good stuff for the evenings and weekends.

What's the best kit out there ? I have the pen like ones from TW (Titan?) but they are just not doing it for me anymore. I need something a bit meatier...with good vapour and a good throat hit...but jeez louise there are soooo may out there i haven't got a clue where to start....
I want something meaty with a button (i prefer to press and inhale) and not too expensive.

Can any of you with a decent kit post some links to it ?

    thanks.
