Hi all. My mother is partially deaf and has to have her tv on rather loudly. She does already have some wireless panasonic earphones which she wears, but after a while they hurt her head, so she has to take them off. I was wondering if anyone can recommend something that would solve the problem, either a speaker she could have by her chair, or a hearing amplifier device. I have seen some items on amazon etc, but if anyone out there has a similar problem, what worked for you? Any suggestions would be gratefully received .Thank you.

I would have thought a hearing aid would be the best solution as these are fitted for the individual.

Hi TW...I should have said that she already has a hearing aid in one ear. she is making an appointment to have the other ear tested though, so that would make a difference if she needs one..Thank you for replying
That's great, thank you, I'll look into that
Some hospitals do give you free hearing aid equipment, so you shouldn't have to buy them.

This works very well for me but some of the other suggestions look interesting.
Also Connevans http://www.connevans.com/ and Sarabec http://www.sarabec.com/ if you want to compare prices. Remember to claim VAT relief.
Personally I use the previous model of this http://www.sarabec.com/infralight-swing-ir-lr-neckloop-system/p853#features-tab for TV listening. It works great for me, but I can't vouch for the new model because I haven't tried it.
