They won't because we already know the release dates - Shane's comes out 25th of September and Mark's on 16th of October. Besides, it wouldn't do anything even if the albums were released the same day, that wouldn't make headlines because they are no Gary and Robbie - just stupid side notes on who is better solo artist based on chart postion.

Cheryl and Nadine did it.
Nadine wasn't even on a major label just like Mark.
As a result she flopped and there where comparisons.
I don't think it's wise. It's obvious Shane will sell better. Neither will selling amazingly but thats obvious. Mark will end up looking bad.
I am looking forward to both especially Shane's as his first was stellar.
This is going to be such a huge flop. And I bet the booklet will smell of fried onions.
Even if it will flop, that doesn't mean it won't offer quality. He got nothing but praise from all the critics and majority of the public. The only reason why it could flop is because he is self-releasing it, there is no major label backing him up.

Well that and the fact it is very difficult to carve out a solo career coming from any pop group.

Exactly, only few have actually truly succeeded. And also, Mark is starting all this 3 years after Westlife which is a long time - jut look how Shane had more decent success with his debut/EP.
AND he has been in a band for 14 years, it is not like he started 3-4 years being Westlife when they were still in their high days like for example Robbie, Justin and even Ronan did. For that reason alone, all of the Westlife boys will struggle even more than other ex boybanders.
They also posted an album advert bellow the tweet.
And they wrote this 3 hours ago on their official website:

So I guess that means Sony Music supports him, that it isn't just him alone and his Harmoney label. Thats great!
I was looking for a thread about Mark - I've recently got into some of the old Westlife songs and I do really like his voice. It's a shame he doesn't seem to have taken off here, maybe the material hasn't been right.

Sad 😔 (on they are no Gary and RObbie)

I love the song, again MUCH better than the live performance:
His interview starts at 2 hours and 7 minutes and single around 2 hours and 20 minutes:

The album charted at No. 2 in Ireland and No. 25 here. I don't think it got much promotion over here but it did well in its native country though.
He's releasing a Christmas album next Friday. Here's one of the tracks:
