If the other poster is correct and this murder has made the national news then it must be. If they are wrong then different story. I took them at face value that these murders made the national news.

    really?

My thoughts are with the families involved. They were so young and should have had a bright future :(

for some reason I think LS without parole is better than death sentence

BIB said the same myself, inhumane as he was, he was only 16. I think we should have a lot more life meaning life sentences.

I hope the families now sue too as that psychopath shouldn't have even been on the streets at the time of the killings.

I am so happy with evil man will spend LIFE in jail. If it was in this country he would be playing on a Playstation in jail and be out in a few years on some rehab program. Shame he could not get the death penalty, but life will do fine.

Wow, I could not imagine spending whole life in jail.

    Bye Mr Tyson.

I think he will be very "popular" in their too, nice young man like that. He is now facing a totally hopeless future, nothing, no girlfriends, no beer, no nights out, no shooting innocents.

if it was the other way around and a white youth called them the n word, then I would say it was racist.

this case is definitely racist, the media know it but don't want to report it as racist.

Ignorant violent people insult people with what they have to hand. Had it been a couple of black stray Brits that had strayed into his territory what then? Well first off he wouldn't have called them crackas but some other more appropriate insult. I see no reason to say that the violence that followed wouldn't have been identical. Teenage black on black violence like white on white is common. In this case and others I'd say the words are just insults. If he was purposely targeting white people I'd say the crime and the language used was racist.
I don't know enough about the crime to say whether it was racist or not. As for the media they usually play to the audience.

that coverage is still very small, and is only recent, do you have US news stories from last year that describe the incident?,
only this week has it had a small amount of coverage in the US, I looked on google usa before the trial and there were no american media stories on the killings only links on story from uk newspapers

    You're anti-murder but pro-rape? Interesting.

So do I. This crime has totally disgusted me - I hope his life is hell in prison. Good that US prisons aren't of the luxurious holiday camp style like in this country.

That coverage is massive!!! National news in America, how can you call that very small? The last figure I could get was 17,000 murders a year in America out of all of those this is one of the few to have gone national.

It has also hit the headlines in Florida where the murders occured.

If you think that is small then we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

Advocating rape of a minor, forcing judges to watch child porn - you're exactly the reason why 'ordinary people' should have no say in the justice system.

I do not think they should be forced, perhaps that would be way too much but they should definitely take a far harsher stance against paedophiles

also I did not mean while he was under 18, I meant when he was over 18, rape in US prisons happens a lot so anyway.

You've got some seriously odd logic going on there.

Rape is OK if your victim is a scum bag as a kind of 18th birthday persent?

    Oh that's ok then.

    So not 'forced', but 'made'.

it is not a national story, I just looked on the fox news sites and msnbs and it is nowhere to be seen, only on the crime and courts section on msnbc

    it is hardly national news

if someone is truly evil then they deserve everything they get, I think rape is a terrible crime, but shawn tyson is a convicted double murderer, he is not innocent, I do wish for him to be raped, but if it better that a murderer like him suffer then an innocent person like a women who is just walking home and is attacked

You seem to be suggesting that if he is raped in prison then this will prevent a woman being attacked walking home.

Like he's some kind of Jesus figure or something.

If it is in a national newspaper, it is national news. There's no getting away from that. I am shocked that a murder is in the crime and the courts section, I mean just how inappropriate is that?

I'm not doing more searched, I've shown you it's has been nationally reported but if you dont want to accept it, that's fine with me.
