I went for Sting. Big mistake :( Need to keep an eye on the daq over the wknd to try not to get relegated :(:(

The tips in this thread generally speaking have helped me a lot, Sting was temporary insanity, than a fear of swapping!!!

I'm glad he paid up for once, the number of times you've staked your virtual earnings in him.

Elsewhere, this story gives me some cheer.
I'm sure that, if Amy could get some time to herself (say about 25 years), she'd find life a bit more bearable. :(

Power and respect to East London police !!! :)

I see I am bottom of the league at the moment... time for some serious day trading over the next one and a half days!

That might make them a perfect match? :)

BTW, has anyone on the planet beaten my growth, today?

It's futile trying to defend myself but, at the time of posting, I hadn't anticipated a late RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 interruption from the 11yo lad next door. He turns up (with a kebab) at 22:00 and at 23:30 !!, there's still no rescuing 'phone call from a parent. :(

Today, fortunately, I'll be able to email Dingo's chart to him and ensure that he understands the implications of running one of those full-screen games that removes my taskbar clock and disables system alert messages , even though designing Water Rapids Rides that travel partially underground are fascinating. :p

    I am devastated.
I will try to be happy for SWW but, atm, I can only focus on making third parties responsible for their diversions.

    ;)

deeb, you crack me up every day. Do others spend their time laughing their heads off when you post? (with you, not AT you :p )

Afternoon gang, so sorry I've been awol, only my oldest friend is coming to stay and, when I came home from Mothers with a transit van full to the brim with all my stuff I'd accumulated up there (think 2 sets of clothes, furniture, spare printer, laminating machine etc etc + 2 tellies, 2 DVD Recorders/ 3 videos :o ...I'll stop before you realise I am crazy, I just got hubs and the in laws to throw it in the spare room- nearly up to the ceiling .

:o I own over 40 T shirts and 20 pair of jeans (Asda's own, I dont believe in spending over £4 on any clothing item unless it's for a very special occasion...far more important to save my money for electrical necessities like new laptops/ DVD recorders/plasma screens etc... though the last is still wishful thinking :(

I'll add you onto the league tomorrow, Avalanche. Welcome :)

Anyway, I started this post to apologise for ignoring you all, so there...that's done.

*whistles* anyone wanna help me clear out a room? I loathe doing it.

    Tally <in hopeful, though deluded mood> :D

    Cheers SWW. :)
I sent an email to my visitor who contributed to your Growth success, the day before ;), warning that butts would be kicked if further distractions were forthcoming. He did make an appearance and I informed him that the "butt kicking" was just a comedy threat in case the email was intercepted by a concerned adult. The actual threat was that I could see the average lifespan of a RollerCoaster Tycoon taking a nose-dive. ;):D

I have to say that I faked it a bit by taking full advantage of my 'less good' %s from last week* compared with the other contenders, such as your own. :o

Thanks but I couldn't contemplate taking yours away.
Last I heard was that Tally has been in negotiations with her supplier (DollarStretcher) and bought a huge stash of TTC to reward any kind of "'Daqqing Excellence".
It would give me enormous pride to be the first recipient of the new cheapo batch. ;)
(Unofficially, I think the main difference is that the new lot will just be tin-plated ... 74% less tin ... but don't quote me.) :p

Meanwhile, I'm happy with my GUM©® (Gl*rykins Ugly Mug) award. ;):D

:D Well done deeb for snatching the top spot. I'll leave you to make a suitable trophy :p

Promotions go to Insoportable (aka our lovely Elca), kenster (a great first couple of weeks in the league!! )and starlight_xx

    Congrats to you all.

Relegation for melfuzznik :( and Boondog06 but WillsChoiceAdmin can breathe a huge sigh of relief as, due to the imbalance in numbers between Divs 2 and 3, nobody is getting relegated from Div 2 today. I am so generous!!

:) Welcome Avalanche, you have jumped straight into the top spot in Div 3.......the Premier looms in the near future, I'm sure.

deeb, crack a few jokes, even your awful puns. :( I need cheeing up, plus a crash course in computer maintainance. I totally loathe Vista. What was wrong wih XP?

    BAH!

:D Why thank you *blushes modestly*
It has totally taken me by surprise, because I just don't have the time to devote to Celebdaq at the moment, so I'd decided to just do what I could to make sure I didn't go lower than Divison 1!
But I'm not complaining - even if my stay is short-lived... :D.

I know so many people who struggle with Vista, I keep on resisting my husband's attempts to put it on the family computer - he can have it on his if he wants, but I just don't have time to learn how to use it at the moment! :D

Thanks for the league update Tally :)

Wow... I just read on the BBC website that Leona Lewis' record is the top selling single this uear! ...and that's just from two weeks sales!

Astounding... she is the top UK artist at the moment? ...having got the best selling single last year as well???

I gotta applaud her... surely the most succesful 'single' 'TV contestant' ever in the pop charts?

Probably, she is amazing, but all round, Will Young is the most successful. I can see him having a career in musical theatre and films.

Though I cant see him emulating Jennifer Hudson (American Idol3 loser) who won an Oscar.

Simon Cowell would never have predicted that! :p

Yeah, Tally... the Jennifer Hudson story is truly amazing! Who'd a thought that... an Oscar!

I know Will Young is a top drawer artist, but, although I am no fan of Leona... I am just gobsmacked at how her record sales have completely whacked her peers!

I feel your pain with Vista. I was dazzled by how pretty it is for five minutes before I realised it's actually really awkward. I'm used to it now (although I still preferred XP), hopefully it won't be driving you nuts for too long!
