I like "Scrooge" - the Alistair Sim one.
And "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" for laughs

A Miracle on 34th street. Both versions are great but the original is the best.
    Also The Santa Clause.

Yes to this. I love the scene where Cary grant is sort of advising the older woman not to buy the hat by shaking his head and frowning.

    The remake was pretty dire.

    Ernest Saves Christmas
    Elf
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (MST3K version, naturally).

The list of Xmas films I watch every year..

Elf (already watched that this year)
    Bad Santa
    Muppet Xmas Carol
    Die Hard
Nightmare Before Christmas (I watch this every Halloween too :) )
Home Alone (if it's on regular tv, cos I don't get the movie channels anymore)

Oh, and Jingle All The Way is my Xmas guilty pleasure. It's absolutely terrible, but I can't help watching it if it's on!

Trading Places (well it's second to Die Hard)

I'd argue that Trading Places is a film partially set at Xmas, but it's not a Xmas film
