Hoover recommendations for pet hair?

I'm about to buy a new hoover and wondered if anyone could recommend a good one to tackle pet hair. I have a beige, deep-pile carpet and a long-haired black cat...a fantastic combination. :kitty:

Thanks!

I've got an upright sebo and love it. They last forever and do a good job but aren't cheap. A friend with 7 greyhounds has just bought a cordless Bosch from Currys on offer for around £138 and she loves it , seriously impressed by it. She was advised against the g-tech as it doesn't stay up long and takes a lot of charging.

Have just recently invested in this and it's totally brilliant for cat hair, it's made our carpets like new!

Quite lightweight and can be used as an upright, a stick or a handheld.

It's got a separate motorised brush for pet hair which is incredibly effective.

Not the cheapest at £200 and its not the quietest but worth every penny.

    Highly, highly recommended.

I used to have a Miele Cat and Dog then I tried a cylinder Sebo. Terrific suction but it was heavier and noisier than the Miele. Plus it threw out a lot of heat and the hose was thick and awkward when it came to storing. Gone back to Miele.

Harry Hoover. It's the pet version of the Henry hoover. It's magnificent.
